Detailed Approach

Problem Description
Schools and daycare centers often face high energy costs for cooling and filtering the air while striving to maintain a healthy indoor environment. Traditional renovation solutions require substantial energy input, making them unsustainable and costly in the long run.
Ensuring Class A indoor air quality is critical for the health and productivity of children and staff. However, many existing ventilation systems fail to maintain optimal air quality while keeping operational costs low. The challenge was to develop a highly efficient, low-energy ventilation system that could provide effective air purification while significantly reducing energy consumption.
The Solution
VFA Solutions introduced an advanced ventilation system integrating state-of-the-art cooling, filtration, and air monitoring technologies. The system incorporates the VFA ASPRA electrostatic filter module, capable of processing 10,000 m³/h, which reduces pressure drop by 80% while removing 90–95% of PM2.5 particles.
To maintain a Class A indoor environment, smart sensors were installed to continuously monitor CO₂ levels, temperature, humidity, and particulate concentrations. The system also utilizes dew point cooling and heat recovery, ensuring maximum energy efficiency. A single air handling unit is designed to serve 4–5 classrooms, making the solution scalable and highly cost-effective.

The Result
The SchoolVent project successfully reduced energy consumption by 40–80% in existing schools. Air-conditioned classrooms equipped with ASPRA technology showed a 70–96% reduction in PM2.5 concentrations, significantly improving indoor air quality and comfort.
The VFA ASPRA filter module exceeded E10 filter standards at normal airflow rates and reached E11 specifications at lower rates, providing exceptional air purification with minimal energy consumption. These advancements demonstrate that the SchoolVent system is a sustainable and scalable solution for energy-efficient, healthy indoor environments in schools, offices, and beyond.
