Innovative and Sustainable Controlled Indoor Climate System
i-Vention, a winner of the SBIR Sports Events and SBIR Sports Accommodations programs, has tackled the critical challenges of air quality and safety in indoor sports facilities during the Covid-19 pandemic. In collaboration with Sportinnovator and the Dutch Ministries of Economic Affairs and Public Health, i-Vention developed an innovative and sustainable controlled indoor climate system. This system combines ventilation, filtration, cooling and heating, air purification, air quality sensors, and a dedicated dashboard and app. Designed to create safe indoor environments, it allows for the continuation of high-intensity sports with minimized risk of aerosol transmission.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring air quality and safety in such environments became a critical challenge. Existing systems often fell short in balancing ventilation and purification without significant energy costs or operational inefficiencies.
